Distribution of groceries at Fair Price Shops from 5th June! Token distribution to commence today (1st June)!

Presently, 100% lockdown conditions are prevailing as imposed by the State Government of Tamil Nadu as a preventive measure against the raging resurgent coronavirus pandemic! Giving due consideration to the welfare of the citizens and to prevent hardships for them, all Fair Price Shops are allowed to be open daily from 8.00 AM to 12.00 Noon. As the infection is still raging, the guidelines followed earlier will still be in practice in June as well!
Distribution of tokens
The tokens for the ration cardholders to get the usual grocery items for June will be distributed from today (Tuesday, 1st June) until 4th June for 4 days.
After this, from 5th June, the items will be distributed in all the Fair Price Shops. 200 ration cardholders per day will be distributed with the items The tokens will contain the details of the date and time.
Among the grocery items distributed, the Bengal gram alone (‘Thuvaramparuppu’ in Tamil) will be distributed from 7th June.
The State Government of Tamil Nadu has appealed to the ration cardholders to observe the guidelines of wearing face masks and keeping social distances!
