The makers of “Maanaadu” starring Silambaran have decided to release the movie soon after the theatres are open to the public.
“Maanadu” was supposed to have released in May this year but due to the ongoing lockdown and the uncertainty over theatre operations, like many other movies, could not see the light. It is now decided that the producers V House Productions, are looking to release on October 14th, 2021 which is celebrated as Ayudha Pooja weekend in Tamil Nadu.
Sources add that there are quite a few movies waiting to release in theatres and producers of all the movies have agreed to release a combination of low budget, medium budget, and high budget movies periodically once theatres are allowed to be operational. In that series, “Maanadu” will opt for a long weekend release around the pooja holidays.
The shooting of the movie was completed a long time back and post-production was going on in full swing until the plans of the makers went for a toss.
Directed by Venkat Prabhu, “Maanaadu” is a political thriller that revolves around the concept of time. The cast also has actors cum directors SJ Suryah, Bharathiraja, and SA Chandrasekhar in important roles. Kalyani Priyadarshan is playing the female lead. Yuvan Shankar Raja is the music director of the movie. A single from the movie is expected to release on 21st June 2021.
