From today, all the malls in Chennai would be reopened and visitors would be allowed inside the malls. It is known that these malls have been shut down for a long time because of lock down to contain the spread of the Coronavirus infection pandemic.
As per Pooja Patti, centre director, Phoenix Marketcity and Palladium, all the staff in the shops and in the establishments have been vaccinated against Covid-19. For ensuring the safety of customers, additional measures have been taken also. She explained how the priority was to provide a safe environment and enjoyable shopping experience to the public.
At high contact points in the mall, the frequency of sanitation has been increased and this was according to the stringent safety measures. Point to be noted is that social distancing, sanitisation and compulsory wearing of face masks would be ensured inside the mall. This would be carried out by double security and extra staff members.
Nhance app would be used by the mall to ease the customers into the new normal. The customers entering and exiting the mall must compulsorily log on to Nhance app and by this it would be possible to trace an ill person even later also. His or her contacts would also be traced.
It is worthy to mention that after entering the malls in Chennai the customers would not be allowed to remove their face masks and their bags would have UV sanitisation. After each use, the trial rooms would be sanitised also. This was mentioned by the mall managers.
The retail shop employees would have to provide their vaccination certificates compulsorily and then only they would be allowed inside the malls
