Approval for new family ration cards commences today (1st July)!

The State Government of Tamil Nadu has informed that the services for the approval of the new family ration card are set to commence today (Thursday, 1st July). Approvals have also been granted to commence printing of the new family ration cards as well as registering the fingerprint.
As thousands of applications got accumulated each day, this task was temporarily withdrawn.
In this situation, the task of approval for the new family ration card is set to commence today (Thursday, 1st July).
The Supreme Court has ordered that the Central Government scheme ‘One Nation – One card’ must be followed and implemented by all the states.
As per this scheme, a citizen with a proper ration card can buy from any ration shop throughout the country after registering the fingerprint!
Due to the raging resurgent coronavirus pandemic fast-spreading, the task of registering the fingerprint was temporarily stopped in Tamil Nadu!
