That magical combination of Gautham Menon – A R Rahman and Silambarasan TR is officially going to be back!
Producer Ishari Ganesh has announced that two movies will be made back to back with the same combo. That means two Gautham Menon movies with AR Rahman music. Now fans have something to cheer about post lockdown!
The VTV combination has been coming on and off with pseudo appearances online and in short films. Last year, in the lockdown, Gautham Menon directed a short story with Simbu and Trisha with the same character names and this was the talk of the town then.
As for AR Rahman, his association with Gautham Menon, especially in “Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada”(AYM), seems to be biased. The Oscar awardee comes up with some mellifluous tunes for Gautham! We can expect some classy stuff there.
And with “Maanadu” going to be completed soon Simbu who’s reinvented himself with a fitter body, will be keen to even reinvent his image in future projects.
Looking at Gautham Menon’s diary, he was busy in 2019 and till the pandemic hit the world in 2020 with “Joshua Imai Pol Kaakha”. The shooting of that movie came to a halt despite half of it already being shot. Same story with his “Dhruva Natchathiram” which created quite some intrigue in fans with its teaser starring Vikram. Reports are that he is also going to work on another project called “Nadhigalile Neeradum Suriyan”.
So, let us wait for more announcements on the new projects. Looking back in time, the combination has come up with a romantic movie like VTV and an almost action movie like AYM. Wonder what the new movies are having in store!
