TN CM Stalin reviewing with officials on reopening movie theatres!

The prevailing lockdown extension in the State of Tamil Nadu is set to conclude at 6.00 AM on 19th July (Monday).

Presently, there is a downward trend on the extent/impact of the raging resurgent coronavirus pandemic in Tamil Nadu over the last few weeks with the daily affected number reducing to less than 2500!

The daily infection has come down below 100 in 30 districts. This has facilitated the public to return to the normal daily life routine!

Subsequently, information is gathered that the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin is set to announce further relaxations in the State of Tamil Nadu from 19th July!

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister has undertaken a review meeting in this regard with the Senior Officials in the Chief Secretariat today (Friday, 16th July).

Health Minister Ma. Subramanian, Chief Secretary Iraiyanbu, Health Secretary J. Radhakrishnan, DGP Sailebdra Babu and the senior officials of the Departments of Health & Revenue have participated in this review meeting.

An important issue to be discussed will be regarding the reopening of schools and colleges in the state. Further, reopening movie theatres with restrictions, the swimming pools, and the bars will also be discussed.

The decisions taken in this meeting may be officially announced today evening or tomorrow morning (Saturday, 17th July).

At the same time, the World Health Organisation (WHO) has warned that as it has been informed that the 3rd corona wave may onset in India, ADDITIONAL PRECAUTION MUST BE OBSERVED REGARDING ANNOUNCING FURTHER RELAXATIONS!
