Transfer certificates available or not, parents need not worry hereafter!!
Transfer certificate or TC is very important for the sake of admission of the students. There are some private schools that are not issuing the TC or transfer certificates to the students. It is now revealed that the students would be able to join the corporation schools run by GCC even without the transfer certificate. Sound’s amazing isn’t it!!
The number of students in the corporation schools in Chennai has crossed the one lakh mark. The parents could approach the corporation schools run by GCC for the purpose of admission of the students. This was assured by the civic body. According to Mr. Bharathidasan, education officer belonging to GCC, it was clear that the TN government had given permission to admit the students between the classes 1 to 8 and 9 to 12 without TC. He added that GCC would play its role in getting the TCs from the EMIS. By September month end, GCC is expecting 1.25 lakh students to join the corporation schools. It is learnt that more than 20000 students have joined the corporation schools leaving the private schools.
Mr. Bharatidasan later revealed that the Covid-19 pandemic has been responsible for many parents admitting their kids in the corporation schools. There is now good infrastructure available and the students would get all the facilities free of cost. The TN government has provided the students belonging to classes 11 and 12 with laptops and 50% of students of other classes have smartphones now. He concluded that smartphones would be provided to the students (who don’t have smartphones) and for that the help from NGOs would be sought. It is now said that the online classes would continue till the Coronavirus pandemic infection gets over.
