Around 7 Lakhs applications for new ration card - an idea about rejected applications!

An announcement has been released that 719895 applications for new ration cards have been received throughout Tamil Nadu State from May to June!
126414 applications were received in May. 157497 applications were received in June. 261529 applications were received in July.
Out of these, 452188 applications were accepted and 135730 applications WERE REJECTED!
It has been informed further from the Department of the Public Distribution Scheme (PDS) that 338512 new ration cards have been given and the printing of 113676 smart ration cards is in progress. 131977 applications are on hand.
As regards the Chennai District, 49920 citizens had applied for new ration cards over the last 3 months. 17728 applications were accepted and 6073 applications have been REJECTED, Further, 15687 citizens have been issued new ration cards and the smart ration card printing is in progress for another 2041 citizens.
As regards North Chennai, 41431 citizens had applied for new ration cards. 16608 applications were accepted and 5312 were rejected. 15054 citizens have been issued new family ration cards and the printing of 1554 new smart family ration cards is in progress.
