Elevator facility mandatory for buildings with more than 2 floors!

The State Government of Tamil Nadu has announced that the provision of a lift will be MANDATORY in all buildings constructed with more than 2 floors!
There was a presentation from the Housing Development Department on the policies undertaken in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly today (Wednesday, 1st September).
It was mentioned that a lift facility will be mandatory for the use of differently-abled citizens in the multi-storeyed buildings with more than 2 floors.
Further ramps, special toilets and other facilities MUST be provided. Notice boards for the visually-impaired (blind) citizens, a sep[arate vehicle-parking place must also be provided.
