Public holidays are announced now for this reason in Tamil Nadu!!

The government of Tamil Nadu has announced that 6th and 9th October would be holidays in 9 districts like Villupuram, Vellore, Tirunelveli etc where rural local body elections would be held. In the 28 districts in TN, elections for the vacant local representatives would be held and it would be a holiday on 9th October.
There would be local elections in districts like Kancheepuram, Chengalpet, Vellore, Ranipet, Thirupathur, Villupuram, Kallakurichi, Tenkasi, Tirunelveli etc on 6th and 9th October. For the public to cast their votes, holidays have been announced now.
It was later announced by the principal secretary for rural development that in the districts like Kancheepuram, Chengalpet, Vellore, Thirupathur, Ranipet, Villupuram,, Kallakurichi, Tirunelveli, Tenkasi etc where votes registration for rural local body elections would take place holidays have been given on 6th and 9th October. He has mentioned that in the 28 districts 9th October has been declared as holiday in places where vote registration would take place.
