Studying in foreign countries is okay, but are those degrees really valid, asks AICTE?

These days, many students from India go abroad to pursue their undergraduate or UG  as well as postgraduate or PG studies. The overambitious students sometimes might not even know about the university details fully but they still proceed to study in the universities abroad and later find it difficult regarding their degrees.

The news that has come out now is that AICTE or All India Council for Technical Education has asked the students who study in foreign countries to check the validity of their degrees.

Information is that the AICTE has observed several students going abroad for UG and PG studies to obtain degrees that are not valid or recognised. This has made many students run from one point to another point for sake of their authentication and equivalence of their degrees.

The shocking truth is that many times the validity equivalence of such foreign degrees awarded was not on par with those degrees awarded from Indian institutions. These students have been finding their lives very tough as they are unable to get jobs in private as well as in the public sectors. It must be noted that the students usually spend lots of money as fees to obtain such non equivalent technical degrees.
