Good (weather) news at last for Chennai Metro City residents: Downpour will stop!

The Chennai regional Meteorological Centre Director N. Puviyarasan has come up with an explanation regarding the recent persistent downpour and the weather in the coming days!

Chennai Metro City, the capital of the State of Tamil Nadu, has been affected following the persistent heavy downpour with flooding in a major part of the city and its streets/roads 3 TIMES IN THE LAST 1 MONTH ALONE!

As such, the citizens, especially those who reside in low-lying areas are extremely worried in case of further rains!

The very mention of any formation of a low-pressure zone gets them tense and fearful!

The press reporters had an interview session with the Director of the Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre. The details:

“As for today (Monday, 29th November, there are prospects for mild to medium rain with lightning and thunder in a few places in the city. After this, the prospects for rain in Chennai Metro City reduce considerably! Only, there are prospects for more rains in the southern districts of Tamil Nadu!”

This news that the rain will abate soon has brought immense relief to the citizens of Chennai Metro City who have been quite severely affected with extreme hardships on these rainy days!
