Loans distributed to self help groups or SHG now in TN!

There are now 7.56lakh members of 58463 SHG across the state of Tamil Nadu. These persons would be befitted superbly now.
In Tiruttani, a function was organized on Tuesday, 14th December 2021 by TN Corporation for Development of Women. In this function, the chief minister of Tamil Nadu Mr. M.K. Stalin caught the attention when he launched a scheme to distribute loans for SHG or self help groups to an amount of Rs 2750 crores.
It must be noted that the Tamil Nadu government has fixed a target of distributing loans to the amount of Rs 20000 crores to SHG in this year and till now Rs 6777 crores have been distributed. By the end of December, the total loan distribution would touch Rs 10000. To expedite this process, the officials have been directed to hold special camps. This was as per the CM Mr. M.K. Stalin.
He spoke about how revolving funds in SHGs are an important aspect as Rs 87.39 crores has been released in 2021 as capital fund for 17479 SHGs. It is worth mentioning here that Rs 5838 SHGs run by differently able persons were allotted Rs 14.59 crores in 2021.
In the year 2017, TN made many heads turn when it announced a target for loan distribution for SHG and till now Rs 1.04 lakh crore has been distributed to 36.97 lakhs SHGs. The chief minister of Tamil Nadu later revealed that the loan distribution to SHGs (where 75% of members are women) would make women more confident to start business.
