How would you react if you come to know that the minimum temperature has decreased to below 2 degrees Celsius in Tamil Nadu? Sounds shocking right!!
The truth is that many places in Nilgiris district have become frozen now and the minimum temperature recorded below 2 degrees Celsius was recorded. It is now revealed that in this extreme weather, the department of horticulture has taken measures to prevent plants from getting dried up. The interesting piece of information is that frosting is an annual process here from November to January but this time around the frosting was delayed.
The individual weather forecasters have mentioned that the temperature would go down further to ZERO degrees Celsius here on the eve of New Year. This was as per a senior officer belonging to the horticultural department in the Nilgiris. Places like Manjur, government botanical garden, Singara etc had severe frosting in the last few days.
