Final year engineering students till now would have been thinking of going abroad for their higher studies or getting a job etc. Hereafter, these students would be thinking differently.

It is now said that 5 high tech training centers for the final year students would be set up by the government of Tamil Nadu in the technical institutions including engineering college etc so that these students could start their own business.  For this purpose, DOTE or directorate of technical education (a wing of Higher Education Department) would join hands with EDII or Entrepreneurship Development and Innovation Institute. In 5 zones, coaching centers would be set up and that would be in some of the major cities belonging to Tamil Nadu.

Those students who are interested in starting their own businesses would be identified by DOTE and these students would be shortlisted later. This was according to a senior officer belonging to the Higher education department or HED. The senior officer explained that there are many private entrepreneurs training institutes in TN and how there are many engineering students belonging to government as well as government aided colleges who cannot pay huge amounts as fees to take training at these institutes.

As a result, the skills of these students go unnoticed mostly. He added that the duration for the training programme of the final year engineering students would be decided soon. It is superb to note that those students who are ready with their business plans would be guided regarding the process of applying for loans through government schemes or to the banks.

In this unique training programme, the final year engineering students would get to know about digital transformation in practice plus they would learn inbound marketing techniques etc. Truth is that after this training the banks would appreciate competency of the entrepreneurs. Therefore, the chances of loans getting rejected would reduce.
