Booster dose for coronavirus - Chennai!

The Department of Health of the State Government of Tamil Nadu has estimated that there are 35 Lakhs healthcare and front line workers, senior citizens (aged above 60) with comorbidities who got administered with both doses of anti-corona vaccines before 14th April last year. These citizens are eligible now to get booster shots at their nearest Health Centres.

Among these 35 Lakhs citizens, 15 Lakhs citizens are estimated to be residents of Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) Limits.

Please note that the list of 140 Upgraded Primary Health Centres (UPCs), where the civic body will be giving the vaccines, can be accessed at the civic body`s official website https://chennaicorporation.gov.in/gcc/.

The Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) has announced on Monday (10th January) that the senior citizens will be administered with the precautionary dose of the Covid-19 vaccines at their doorsteps and asked all elderly persons to call up the helpline number and book a slot.

GCC (Greater Chennai Corporation), has announced in the social media network Twitter:

“Persons aged above 60 years with co-morbidities can avail home vaccination by booking it through emergency helpline 1913 or  COVID helpline – 044-2538 4520 and 044-4812 2300.”
