Arignar Anna or C.N. Annadurai was the former chief minister of Tamil Nadu who served the state as chief minister between 1967 and 1969. Today, 3rd February is 53rd death anniversary for Mr. C.N. Annadurai.

On this occasion, the chief minister of Tamil Nadu Mr. M.K Stalin and DMK general secretary Mr. Duraimurugan etc would be garlanding the memorial of Aringnar Anna at Kamarajar Salai.

It is now mentioned that due to Arignar Anna death anniversary there would not be special poojas in the temples in Tami Nadu. Public feast would not be allowed today. This has been announced by the government of Tamil Nadu.

Point is that Mr. Kumaragurubaran, commissioner of the department of treasuries had requested for a public feast today and for that he had written a letter also.

It is now brought out that since the rules have been in effect to conduct elections public feast would not be allowed. The principal secretary of department of treasuries, Mr. Chandramohan has written a letter to Mr. Kumaragurubaran the commissioner of treasuries and as per the letter advice has been sought regarding conducting public feast in important temples today 3rd February, that is 53rd death anniversary of Arignar Anna. Information is that in rural local government areas special poojas in temples and public feast etc would be allowed.
