Central government and state government have been launching various welfare schemes for the students belonging to backward classes, SC /ST, minorities etc. Various scholarships are being given to these students. Point is that many students below the poverty line have been getting benefited by these scholarships. To receive the scholarships, there are certain conditions for the students.
Those students who want to receive a scholarship amount could apply through their educational institutions. Now, facilities are available to receive the scholarship amount by applying through online also. Skill examination would be conducted for the students belonging to the classes 8th.9th and 10th. The selected students would be able to receive a scholarship amount till they complete their 12th class.
This skill examination for the students studying in the 8th classes would take place on 5th of February 2022. Those students who get qualified in this skill exam would receive the scholarship amount. It must be noted that the annual income of the parents must be below Rs 1.5lakhs.
Those students who are eligible could go to the website www.dge.tn.gov.in to get necessary details. The students must apply before 5th of February. It is now revealed that in Tamil Nadu every year as many as 6995 boys and girls have been receiving the scholarship amount.
