What is making book lovers feel delighted in Chennai now?

The book lovers in Chennai are doubly delighted now for this reason!!

The 45th book fair began in Chennai just recently and it grabbed many eyeballs. Now, in Chennai another book fair has started in another corner in Chennai. The book lovers have been thronging these book fairs now with huge enthusiasm. Reading books is very important for a person but not many these days show interest in reading books is a well known fact.

In Nandanam in Chennai at the YMCA Grounds last week a book fair began on 16th of February. This book fair is being conducted by BAPASI or Booksellers and Publishers Association of South India.

Kitab Lovers have organised the second book fair named ‘Load the box’. For the last 2 years, the Coronavirus pandemic has been creating many issues all over and there was no book fair in Chennai. Now, all of a sudden, 2 book fairs are attracting many Chennaites and these people are feeling happy. As per an official belonging to BAPASI it was clear that the Chennai Book Fair that began on 16th February would end on 6th of March and almost 2 lakhs people visited this book fair in the last weekend. He mentioned that the book fair witnessed people of different age groups and more than 40000 tickets were sold on the first day.

The entry ticket costs Rs 10 per person and for Rs 100 season passes could be purchased. The superb piece of information is that the students of schools and colleges could enter the book fair by just showing their ID cards. There are as many as 790 book stalls and the book fair would be open from 11am to 8pm daily.

Shri Hall located in Burkit Road in T. Nagar is buzzing with activities now. This is the place where the latest book fair named ‘Load the box` is present. There are 2 lakhs books of different topics and this book fair will be there till 27th of February. This book fair is a unique one where the books are free. It is learnt that the book lovers would have to buy a box and fill it with the books they like.

According to Harpreet Singh Chawla, founder of ‘Load the box’ book fair, there are 3 sizes of boxes of different prices. He added that by this method more youngsters would show interest in reading books in the digital world.
