Today, holiday for the schools in these districts in TN!!

Today, 4th March is Samithoppu Ayya Vaikundar Incarnation day and due to this reason in 4 districts like Kanniyakumari, Tirunelveli, Tenkasi and Tuticorin schools have been given holiday.
Normally, holidays would be announced to all parts of the state for any festivals, special days and ceremonies etc. It must be taken into note that the government of TN on behalf of the district administration has given permission to grant local holidays for the sake of ceremonies and festivals in only certain areas belonging to Tamil Nadu. On those days, all the government offices, schools and colleges etc would also be given holiday.
To mark the 190th incarnation of Samithoppu Ayya Vaaikundar of Tirunelveli district, schools belonging to the districts of Tirunelveli, Tenkasi, Kanniyakuamri and Tuticorin have been given holiday today. It is noteworthy that this local holiday announced would not be for those students who would be appearing for the public examinations and the teachers of these classes must come to the schools compulsorily. To compensate for this holiday, 12th March would be working. It is known that the schools have resumed physical classes for the students from 1st February and there will be public examinations in May for the students belonging to the 10 11 and 12 this time.
