Huge relief for class 10 students - New announcement from school education department

It is well known that the schools in the state of TN have resumed direct physical classes for the students as the Coronavirus cases have reduced. The students have been learning with lots of interest in the direct classes. For the last 2 years, Class 10 public exams were not held in Tamil Nadu due to the Coronavius pandemic. In this academic year, the public exams would take place for the students of classes 10 to 12.
Just a few days back, the time table schedule for the students of classes 10, 11 and 12 who would be appearing for the public exams was released. The school education department has announced that a new vocational general examination has been introduced for the class 10 students.
The news now is that the class 10 students need not pass this vocational subject and this would be a huge relief for them. The school education department has mentioned that the marks obtained by the students in this newly introduced vocational subject would not be taken into account. The education department or kalvi thurai has made it clear that no aspect of the National Education Policy or desiya kalvi kolgai of the school education department has been implemented till now.
