Super news: An announcement has been released by the central government!
The citizens who need to shift residence need not have to change their ration cards or get a new card! Aadhar card number is just enough to buy the groceries from the ration shops!
Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared that this new scheme has been implemented with due consideration to the hardships encountered by the migrant workers shifting from one state to another to get their ration groceries!
The Prime Minister further shared that the citizen who shifts to a new residence in a new place because of the job can now procure the ration items from the rations shops in the new place! At the same time, once this citizen returns to the old location joining his family, they can buy their regular groceries from the old ration shops.
The Central Minister Piyush Goyal shared that similarly when shifting to a new place because of transfer, there would NOT be any need to get a new ration card. It is just sufficient to inform the number of the existing ration card or Aadhar card number at any ration shop and get the grocery items by ‘Biometric’ system.
The minister informed that with this scheme, there would be no hardship to obtain a new ration card and it would also reduce the scope for fake ration cards.
The minister further shared that so far, 7 Crores citizens in the country can procure ration items anywhere and they have benefited from the `One Nations – One ration Card’ Scheme!
