The Rajiv Gandhi General Hospital, Chennai, which had experienced tumultuous days with teeming corona patients since the start of the coronavirus pandemic first wave, has now silently recorded A DAY WITHOUT CORONA PATIENTS!
Once the news arrived that the coronavirus has entered India, all required arrangements for treatment of coronavirus patients were made in the Rajiv Gandhi General Hospital! During both the intense waves of coronavirus in the country, a large number of patients were admitted in this hospital for treatment!
As such, treatment for coronavirus was being given in the Rajiv Gandhi General Hospital for a period of well over 2 years! Especially during April and May last year (2021), scores of patients were seen waiting in ambulances or otherwise near the entrance of the hospital! This was a true depiction of the severity of the coronavirus subjecting the people and the government to huge hardships!
As such, with the last p[patient who was being treated for coronavirus being cured and discharged, today (Tuesday, 12th April) is the first day after a gap of 2 years being a day without a singler coronavirus patient in the hospital!
Looking at the premises in the complex where coronavirus patients were treated being empty, the doctors and the staff were really delighted!
