State Minister for school Education replies to the question, When does summer vacation start for the students?

As the intensity of summer has been very high over the last few weeks, for the question of whether the schools are likely to close early for summer vacation, the Tamil Nadu State Minister for School Education, Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi has responded to this question when he was on a visit to the Thiruchendur Lord Subramanya Swami temple for prayers: he explained:
“You are asking whether the schools would be closed for summer vacation earlier due to the scorching summer! When our party formed government, due to the raging coronavirus spread first and second waves, the schools could not function for 4-5 months and there was a delay in reopening. So far, most part of the syllabus is yet to be covered.
As the students spent their entire time within their houses for rather a long period, they have some mental tension! We are imitating action to conduct counselling to be provided to the students. Further, there used to be regular cultural activities performed in every school including music, dance, plays, etc. We are making arrangements to organise the same!
However, we still have to strong note of the fact that the parents of the students play a stellar role in guiding their children to good conduct and culture. Another important point to note is that the number of students admitted to the government schools this year (2022-23) has gone up from 47 Lakhs in the previous year (2021-22) to 47 lakhs!
