More than 8 lakhs students to write class 12 board exams in TN

The long wait is over and the anxiety or tension is back on the faces of the students now. Beginning from Thursday, 5th May 2022, nearly 8.37 lakhs students from the state board schools in TN and Puducherry would be appearing for the class12 board examinations. 

In the last 2 years due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the students did not write class 10 and class11 board examinations in TN are well known facts.

In as many as 3119 centres across TN and Puducherry, the board exams for class 12 would take place and this was according to the DGE. It must be taken into account that a total of 28353 private candidates and 36368 students with physical issues would be appearing for the board exams. In all the examination centres, physical distancing would be maintained without fail.

Nearly 5.03 lakhs students from science stream would be writing the board exams and around 2.70lakhs from commerce stream would be writing. There would also be as many as 14885 students from arts stream and 47882 students from vocational stream. Those students who have physical issues would be able to write their exams on the ground floor itself at various examination centres. Concessions would be provided to these students and this was as per the DGE.

During the examinations, around 4291 flying squads and standing squads would be doing their duty of carrying out inspections. Exam centres and strong rooms would have enough protection. For the sake of exam related queries etc, a control room with helpline number has been set up.
