Fraudsters are making hay and they have been tricking the public easily these days.

Recently, in Tambaram, a school student belonging to a private school was cheated of money on the pretext of attending online classes on behalf of the school.

It must be taken into account that a fake email was sent to the student about his school conducting online classes and he was asked to pay the fees online. This student of class 9 got an email from a fraudster on 28th of February 2022 that classes would take place online. Truth is that for 2 months the student did not go to his school. Later, the school tried to reach his parents and their call was blacklisted. It is learnt that the online classes took place from 9pm to 1am. The parents of this student tried to contact his school and the school number was blacklisted.

After some time, the school successfully contacted his parents by another number regarding the student`s continuous absence from attending classes. The parents informed the school that he was studying online. It came as a shock to the parents when they were told that they were misdirected by someone and tricked them and collected money. Parents have filed a complaint against the fraudster at Peerkankaranai police station.
