Alert: E-mails which claim to procure seats in Anna University seeking advance payment are fake/sham!
This alert has been issued by Anna University to students It has asked students not to believe and act on this!
In a notification released by Anna University in this regard, it is mentioned:
“Complaints have been received by us that e-mails are being sent purportedly by Anna University to students that if Rs. 1 Lakhs is paid along with the first-semester fee, one can study the course free! NOTE THAT THESE E-MAILS ARE FAKE!
These fake emails are especially targeting NRI (Non-Resident Indian) students! Please access details regarding student admission by visiting the official website: www.annauniv.edu and only this website!
As such, it has been sternly announced that students MUST be aware of these fake e-mails!!
