Why corporation schools in Chennai are making many heads turn now?

The anxiety amongst the students and parents in TN has come to an end now with the announcement of the public or board examination results!!

The results shown by the corporation schools run by GCC in Chennai have proved that they are no lesser than the other schools in the city. Yesterday, 20th June 2022 was an important day in the lives of many students.

The plus two and class 10 public examination results were announced yesterday and it made news. The schools run by the GCC have registered a pass percentage of 86.53% in the class 12 public examination. Not far behind was the pass percentage of class 10 students of GCC run schools and it was 75.84%.The board or public exams were conducted by TN State Board of Examinations and Board of Higher secondary examinations is well known.

It is superb to mention that Chennai high school in Choolaimedu stood out and it recorded 100% pass percentage in class 10. An amount of Rs 1 Lakh was presented to this school by Chennai Mayor R. Priya. Other important personalities who made their presence felt in the cash award distribution event were Mr. Gagandeep Singh Bedi, GCC Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner of Education D. Sneha. 

For the public examinations that were conducted in the month of May 2022, as many as 5642 students belonging to the Chennai Higher Secondary Schools appeared for the public exams. Out of a total of 32164 girls, 2907 girls cleared the examination and out of total of 2478 boys 1975 boys cleared the public examination. As many as 47 students have scored more than 551 marks out of total 600 marks and 164 students have scored between 501 marks and 550 marks. 

Point is that as many as382 students have scored between 451 and 500 marks in the higher secondary examinations. The highest pass percentage was witnessed at Chennai Higher Secondary school at Puliyur and it was 98.61%. Information is that Chennai Higher Secondary School at Pulla recorded a pass percentage of 97.63%. It is learnt that 13 schools run by GCC had registered a pass percentage of more than 90% in the higher secondary examinations.
