3.58 Lakh girl students have applied for the monthly assistance of Rs. 1000/- for Higher Education!

A total of 359304 girls have applied for the scheme to provide Rs. 1000/- monthly assistance for higher education!
To encourage and ensure more girl students who study in government schools pursue higher education, the State Government of Tamil Nadu has announced monthly financial assistance of Rs. 1000- under the Department of
An exclusive website, https://penkalvi.tn.gov.in has been created by the State Government of Tamil Nadu to facilitate the girls studying in government and government-aided schools to pursue higher education to apply for the monthly assistance of Rs. 1000/-.
An important point to note is that even though applying girls are getting scholarships/assistance from other schemes and ARE ALSO ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR THIS SCHEME AS WELL!
The main condition for eligibility to apply for this scheme: The Girls MUST have studied from the 6th Standard to the 12th Standard in a government school. The girl MUST pursue higher education in Tamil Nadu!
Note that the time given for applying to this scheme concluded yesterday (Sunday, 10th July)!
In this situation, the Department of Higher Education of the State Government of Tamil Nadu has informed that 358304 girls have applied for this monthly assistance of Rs. 1000/- to pursue higher education!
