In its new project endeavour, Airbus manufactured and introduced the operation of a giant freight plane, in the shape of a whale, named `Beluga` carrying goods of large objects in the year 1995!
In this Beluga freight aeroplane, up to 47000 kg of freight material can be carried!
This giant freight plane landed at the airport of the Chennai Metro City for the first-ever time!
In this regard, the Chennai Airport authorities shared:
"Airbus Beluga was at the Ahmadabad Airport, Gujarat. While on its way to Pattaya, Thailand, Airbus Beluga landed at Chennai Airport for fuelling!
This is the first-ever time that a giant freight plane has landed in Chennai Metro City! Once filled with fuel, it will leave Chennai for Pattaya, Thailand!"
