Registration of Sales deeds: Rs. 4988 Crores revenue in 100 days!!!

The Department of the Registration of documents has disclosed that in an unprecedented development, a revenue of Rs. 4988 Crores has been collected over the last 100 days!
The most important aspect to note here is that for the various welfare schemes being announced from time to time by the State Government of Tamil Nadu, the main source of funds comes from the Department of Registration!
As such, various initiatives have been undertaken to increase the revenue from the registration Department! As such, during the financial year 2022-23, a revenue of Rs. 13913 Crores was earned by the registration of property deeds.
As there was an appreciable increase in property registration after the raging coronavirus came down with the relaxation of the lockdown registration. Because of this, in the financial year 2022-23, the target for revenue was set as Rs. 16322 Crores!
Based on this target, the revenue targets for each registrar office have been set and activities have been initiated to achieve the set targets!"
In this regard, the Revenue Department Officials shared:
"For this financial year, 2022-23, a revenue of Rs. 4988 Crores has been earned from April, May, June and the first week of July! As compared to revenues for the corresponding period in the last financial year, this is higher by Rs. 2410 Crores!
To retain this speed of high-revenue earning, various activities such as expediting the pending jobs, taking a quicker decision on the documents, reducing losses, etc., have been expedited!"
