Sensational news!! New Bridges to be constructed in Chennai

To build bridges across canals, GCC or Greater Chennai Corporation has floated bids now. It must be noted that the total cost of the construction would be Rs 74 crores.
It was brought out by the GCC based on the announcement from the municipal administration department minister Mr. K.N. Nehru bids were floated to build a bridge at railway level crossing on Manali Road under design, procure and construct basis.
Across Otteri Nullah Canal in Anna Nagar zone, a bridge would be constructed and this bridge would connect aspire Garden Second Street and Kilpauk Garden Second Street. The existing bridge would be replaced by this new bridge. This was mentioned in the release from the Chennai Corporation.
In the Alandur zone in south Chennai, another bridge would be constructed and it would connect Jeevan Nagar second street and Medavakkam Main Road. An amount of Rs 73.84 crores would be spent for the construction.
