No need to go all the way to Egmore hereafter - Tejas Express train to stop at Tambaram!!

People belonging to Tambaram who travel from Chennai to Trichy / Madurai often find it difficult because the Tejas Express doesn`t stop at Tambaram and they would have to go all the way to Egmore. This issue would not be there soon.
The passengers have been demanding for this express train to stop at Tambaram also so that those in Tambaram or in nearby places could board the train easily without the need to travel to Egmore . Now, the Southern Railways or SR has written to the railway board asking for the permission to stop at Tambaram.
Madurai MP Mr. Venkatesan was informed by the zone regarding their approach to the railway board to stop Tejas Express at Tambaram. This Tejas Express train is being used by many commuters from Tambaram who go to Trichy and Madurai etc.
It must be taken into account that regular passengers and residents associations of Tambaram Corporation have been demanding a stoppage of the train for one minute at Tambaram. This would help many commutes from Tambaram going to Trichy & Madurai etc.
It is noteworthy that the Tejas express leaves Egmore at 6am and it has got just 2 stoppages Trichy and Dindigul before reaching Madurai. It covers the distance in just 6 hours.
