Relief material sent

About 4,500 parcels containing relief material to Uttrakhand were sent by The Tamil Nadu postal circle recently. The parcels, collected from across the State, were booked without any postage charges until July 20.BSNL’s text messaging service was used to send 51 lakhs texts to people asking for contributions.The parcels were transported through two parcel vans each with a 23-tonne capacity. The vans were hauled by the Madurai-Dehradun superfast express train.
