Travel time between Chennai and Bengaluru to reduce to just 2 hours by this new Expressway?

How would you react if you come to know that in the future the travel time between Chennai and Bengaluru would be just 2 hours? Surprised right!!
This might become a reality in the future. On Saturday, 3rd September 2022, the union minister for road transport and highways Mr. Nitin Gadkari grabbed many eyeballs when he announced that an expressway would facilitate travel between Chennai and Bengaluru in just 2 hours. He spoke about how issues of logistics for organ transplants can be resolved by better air and land connectivity. He then shed light on how schemes such as Bharatmata Pariyojana and higher expressways have made the transplantation organs to reach faster between cities and states. There are many people who travel between these 2 cities regularly and the new expressway would be a boon for them.
It is learnt that the government is in the process of starting many express highways and it includes a express highway from Chennai to Bengaluru. By this, it would be possible to transport organs between the 2 cities in just 2 hours. The expressway would reduce the transportation time and it would be beneficial for the hospital present in these 2 important cities. Point is that alignment, land documentation works etc are going on now.
