The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test – NEET – for pursuing graduate medical courses such as MBBS & BDS – was conducted on 17th August throughout India!
As per the National Testing Agency (NTA) which organizes and conducts NEET, 1872343 candidates had applied and only 1778725 candidates attended the NEET.
Over 18 Lakh candidates participated in NEET throughout the country. In Tamil Nadu State, 142000 candidates wrote the NEET in 18 cities.
The results of this NEET and the key answers were released on 31st August.
In this scenario, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced that the results of NEET would be uploaded tomorrow (Wednesday, 7th September) on the NTA official website https://neet.nta.nic.in
There are over 90000 seats available for graduate medical courses in 612 medical colleges throughout the country for MBBS and 26173 seats for BDS in 313 Dental Colleges throughout the country. NEET is conducted for admission to these seats.
As regards the MBBS Seats, 43915 seats are available in private medical colleges and 48012 seats are available in government medical colleges. The counselling for admission for these graduate medical courses will be conducted by the Medical Committee of the Chief Directorate of Central Health Services.
