Normal online food delivery resumes once again in Chennai - Thanks to Swiggy executives!!

Swiggy  executives were shocked regarding the new decision taken regarding their timings and incentives etc and they have been protesting. On Monday, 26th September 2022, many Swiggy executives were back to work once again as they were unable to sustain the protest.

After taking part in the strike for 2 days, many executives of Swiggy began to log in and normal operations of online food delivery resumed in Chennai. Many of them were satisfied with the incentives but were not happy regarding the timings. Now, these executives would have to work for a longer duration.

Over 75% of the orders resumed yesterday and this was as per the chairman of Vasantha Bhavan Mr. M. Ravi who is also president of Chennai Hotels Association. He explained that due to the strike by the Swiggy executives there was a loss of 90% and this loss was huge. As per Mr. K.T. Srinivasa Raja of Adyar Anandha Bhavan, more than 85% of the nroam operations resumed yesterday.

The strike from Swiggy executives have made Zomatoo executives very busy and there has been a spike in their operations during the past few days. Swiggy in its statement has mentioned that the payout structure has been created to help the delivery executives making sure that they earn well and irrespective of the platform orders. The statement added that there are no changes to how much swiggy executives earn or how long they work. It is known to us that Swiggy and Zomato are the 2 highly popular online delivery platforms.
