The Department of Transport of the State Government of Tamil Nadu has informed us that 1159 special buses are to be operated to facilitate the citizens who visited their native places for the celebration of Ayudha Pooja and Vijayadasami in their native places!
The Minister for Transport of the State Government of Tamil Nadu, Sivasankar had informed that with successive holidays forming on the occasion of Ayudha Pooja, special buses would be operated to facilitate the citizens visit their native places for the festive occasion.
As such, 5679 special buses were operated from Chennai Metro City to various places on 30th September and 1st October. 312345 citizens had travelled in these special buses to their native places to celebrate the festival.
Similarly, to facilitate these citizens to retune to their place of work, the Department of Transport had announced that special buses would be operated from various places to Chennai Metro City.
In a notification released in this regard by the Transport Department, it is mentioned:
"To facilitate the citizens after the celebration of the festival of Ayudha Pooja and Vijayadasami and the weekend to return to their Chennai Metro City (or place of work), special buses are to be operated from different places to Chennai Metro City on 5th & 6th October!
As such, apart from the normal operation of 2100 buses which operate from various places to Chennai Metro City, an additional 1150 buses will be operated making for a total of 3250 buses.
The citizens who want to travel in these buses can book their tickets by visiting the website www.tnstc.in OR the App tests."
