Few years back, if anyone had mentioned that the greatest batsmen of all times, Sir Don Bradman`s record would be broken by some young Indian upcoming batsman, then the entire cricketing world would have termed it as a joke!!
Now, a young Indian batsman Sarfaraz Khan of age 24 from Mumbai has broken the record of Don and by that he had made the entire world to sit up and take notice of his amazing batting skills.
Right from his school days, Sarfaraz Khan has been making news for his record breaking batting in Mumbai circles. This short and well built right handed batsman of Mumbai has been grabbing many eyeballs in the last couple of years as he has been breaking or creating new records in every first class match. For the last 2 consecutive seasons in the Ranji Trophy, Sarfaraz Khan had made more than 900 plus runs.
In his short first class career till now, Sarfaraz Khan has already made a triple ton plus few double tons. His penchant for scoring big tons has made the lives of many bowlers tough.
In the recent first class match, Sarfaraz Khan playing for the Rest of India did fabulously in scoring 138 in the first innings against Saurashtra in the Irani Cup Trophy. By that, he surpassed the greatest of all batsmen Sir Don Bradman by one run.
After playing exactly 43 innings, Sarfaraz Khan has made a total of 2928 runs in his first class career with as many as 10 hundreds. It must not be forgotten that Don Bradman made 2927 runs after playing 43 innings with 12 hundreds. This record of Sarfaraz Khan is now being spoken in huge esteem by many across the world.
