Prospects for rain for the next 3 hours in 6 districts!

The Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre has informed that there are prospects for medium rain with lightning and thunder in 1 or 2 places for the next 3 hours in the districts of Chennai, Thiruvallur, Kanchipuram, Chengalpattu, Villupuram, and Kallakkurichi.
The Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre has further informed that due to the cyclonic format prevailing in the upper layers of the atmosphere, there are prospects for heavy rain today (Monday, 10th October) in a few places in 26 districts.
Accordingly, there are prospects for heavy rain in a few places in the 26 districts including Nilgiri, Coimbatore, Tirupur, Erode, Dharmapuri, Krishnagiri, Karur, Namakkal, Salem, Dindigul, Madurai, Theni, Trichy, Ariyalur, Perambalur, Cuddalore, Thanjavur, Thiruvallur, Thiruvallur, Nagappattinam, Mayiladuthurai, Kallakkurichi, Thirupathur, Thenkasi, Pudhukkottai, Sivagangai, and Virudhunagar.
As regards Chennai Metro City, the sky will remain somewhat cloudy and there are prospects for rain with lightning and thunder in a few places in the city!
As the onset of the northeast monsoon rainy season is expected within the next 2 weeks, information is gathered that there would be persistent rain throughout the state of Tamil Nadu!
