The temperature has gone down in the last few days in chennai and across the state of TN. As a result, the people have been finding it comfortable now. In the next few days in TN, the rains would increase and this would be mainly due to the fact that the monsoon is vigorous now in the state.
It is now said that the cyclonic circulation over south TN and adjoining Kerala has been favourable. This would bring more rainfall to several districts like Nilgris, Kanniyakumari, Theni, Tirunelveli etc.
It was brought out by a senior officer from RMC in Chennai that the rainfall would increase gradually in the upcoming days. There would be heavy rains in districts like Salem, Namakkal, Cuddalore, Erode and Thoothukudi when air circulation moves from the TN state. He then explained that the rainfall has brought from the scorching heat across the state and said many districts recorded maximum temperatures below normal. The rains would continue for next few days also as the onset of NE monsoon commences at the end of October month.
Pallayamkottai in TN recorded the highest temperature of 34 degrees Celsius yesterday and the lowest was recorded at Kodaikanal and Namakkal with 12 degrees Celsius and 18 degrees Celius respectively.
