The Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre has informed us that there are prospects for heavy rains for the next 5 days in Tamil Nadu.
In a notification released in this regard by the Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre, it is mentioned:
"Due to the cyclonic format prevailing in the upper l; layers of the atmosphere over the Kanyakumari Ocean, there are prospects for mild to medium rain with lightning and thunder in 1 or 2 places in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikkal.
There are prospects for heavy rains today (Wednesday, 12th October) in 1 or 2 places in the districts of Nilgiri, Coimbatore, Tirupur, Dindigul, Theni, Virudhunagar, Thenkasi, Madurai, Karur, Erode, Namakkal, Salem, Trichy, Dharmapuri, Krishnagiri, and Thirupathur.
Further, there are prospects for heavy rain in several districts for 5 days!
As regards Chennai Metro City, the sky will remain somewhat cloudy. There are prospects for mild to medium rain in 1 or 2 places in some parts of the city, The maximum temperature will be 33 Degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature will be 26 Degrees Celsius."
For fishermen:
High-speed winds are likely to blow at 40 to 50 kmph across the southern part of the Kanyakumari Ocean.
