As NPCI International Payment has joined with European Payment Services World Line, Indian Citizens can now make payments in Europe through UPI!
The National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI) is a Division of NIPL. NIPL is devoted to the deployment of RuPay (domestic card scheme) and UPI (mobile payment solution) outside of India. NIPL is building a huge acceptance network for RuPay and UPI which will help Indian travellers pay with these payment channels in the destination country of travel.
The main objective of NIPL joining World Line is to expand the domain of Indian Payment avenues!
Further, this powerful cooperation allows payment from UPI to the Point of Sales set-up of the traders.
With this development, Indian customers in Europe can avail of additional benefits!
Indians visiting Europe presently pay only through International Card Networks!
However, henceforth, these Indian visitors in Europe can make use of their credit cards to make payments in Europe!
UPI now allows using more than one bank savings account on the personal smartphone! With this facility, traders and buying customers avail of various benefits!
The financial transactions done through UP in the year 2021 are 38.74 Billion Dollars. The total transaction value was 954.58 billion dollars!
In this situation, NPCI has so far distributed 714 upgraded credit cards to the local citizens.
Further NPCI has informed us that it has planned to expand these processes in Belgium, Netherlands and Switzerland.
Moreover, the Chief Executive Officer of NIPL, Ritesh Shukla, has informed the European market gets good coverage with these joint operations.
As such, it is expected that this joint team will provide Indian Customers with attractive payment schemes!
