New: Travel as you wish facility in Chennai Metro Rail with an Rs. 100/- ticket!

Chennai Metro Rail Officials shared information that there has been a huge positive response for the `travel as you like in the day`s plan of travelling in Chennai Metro for a day!
The Chennai Metro Rail administration has been undertaking various initiatives to increase the number of commuters on its services!
The concessional offer to travel daily on Chennai Metro Rail has been in action since 2015.
In other words, the passenger pays Rs. 100/- before their journey and Rs. 50/- for the travel card and gets the concession for the daily travel.
With these tickets, the passenger can make any number of trips within the day from 5.00 AM till 11.00 PM.
On completing the last trip, the passenger can surrender the ticket and get back Rs. 50/-!
Further, there is no restriction that only the person who bought this ticket has to travel using this ticket! Family members and friends also can share this ticket and travel!
Similarly, paying Rs. 2500/- the passenger can get a monthly concession on the `travel as you please` mode!
One has to pay an additional Rs. 50/- for the card. At the end of the month, the balance will be refunded! Using this ticket, the passenger can travel on any route anytime!
The Chennai Metro Officials shared that this mode of travel has met with huge popularity among the government and private sector workers.
Presently, Chennai Metro Rail is operating on 2 corridors covering a distance of 42 km from 5.00 AM to 11.00 PM daily. During office hours, trains run every 5 minutes from 8.00 AM to 11.00 Am and from 5.00 PM to 8.00 PM. During other periods, trains run every 10 minutes!
