Chennai Metro City Police Commissioner Shankar Jiwal has informed that NO PROTESTS OR PROCESSIONS WILL BE PERMITTED IN CHENNAI METRO CITY IN THE NEXT 15 DAYS!
As an echo of the recent gas cylinder car explosion in Coimbatore, the Monitoring Protection activities have been turned fully effective in Tamil Nadu.
Further, the enquiry on the gas cylinder/car explosion has been transferred to NIA (National Investigation Agency), the Detective Branch Police have also geared up intensifying their secret monitoring!
Apart from this, each district police have devised and spread out their monitoring as required by their districts.
As such, activities on safety, monitoring and preventive activities have been geared up in Chennai Metro City as well!
In this regard, as per the order released by the Chennai Police Commissioner Shankar Jiwal, "Protests, Processions, etc., are BANNED IN CHENNAI METRO CITY FOR THE NEXT 15 DAYS! THIS WOULD BE IN FORCE FROM 30TH OCTOBER (TODAY) UNTIL 14TH NOVEMBER 11.00 PM"
