Chennai Metro Stations which may be drowned during the rainy season?!

With the onset of the Northeast Monsoon Rainy Season, the Chennai Metro Rail Administration has commenced activities to prevent the possibility of any underground Metro Station getting drowned!
As the northeast monsoon rainy season has already commenced, it has started raining in many places! It has been raining in some parts of the Chennai Metro City as well!
The Rainwater drain System construction/repair activities are under full swing with the onset of the northeast monsoon, The Metro Rail Administration has also joined in the initiation of new activities. As such, Metro Rail is taking action on the Metro Stations likely to get submerged and the locations where the 2nd Phase of the Metro Rail Project is in progress to prevent stagnation of rainwater!
An official of the Chennai Metro Rail shared that it has been estimated that some Metro Stations are likely to be affected by flooding,
As such, the official also shared that to prevent this possibility, 1-metre high barricade doors would be installed in AG-DMS, Government Gardens, Saidapet, Anna Nagar East, Thousand Lights, Tondiarpet, and Thegaraya College Metro Stations.
During the last year`s rainy season, as water entered the above-mentioned Metro Stations, the decision was taken to install barricade doors to prevent water entry. As flooding problems were encountered in some of the above-mentioned stations (Government Gardens, Saidapet, and AG-DMS), extra care has been taken this year to prevent flooding! He added that pumps are also kept ready to pump out the water collected in the underground paths!
The officials have further added that squads have been formed to take immediate action in case water leakage occurs in the other areas of the above Metro Stations!
As construction activities are in progress to cover 118,9 km, in the 2nd Phase of the Chennai Metro Rail Project, officials have been asked to be alert and prepared!
