The Regional Meteorological Centre or RMC in Chennai has revealed now that there would be heavy rains with thunder and lightning in Chennai and TN till 11th of November 2022.
In Tamil Nadu, the rains have been making their presence felt ever since NE monsoon started. A notification has been issued now by RMC in Chennai and according to it on 9th of November low pressure area is likely to form along the coast of Sri Lanka in the south west Bay of Bengal. It is brought out that the low pressure is likely to move north- westwards towards the TN- Puducherry coast and intensify slightly in the next 24 hours.
Point is that only the day after tomorrow it would be possible to predict whether the low pressure would become a depression or a storm centre. Beginning from 9th of November onwards, there would be rains in many places belonging to Tamil Nadu and this would be due to the low pressure area that would be formed day after tomorrow.
It has been announced by the RMC that on 10th of November in one or two places belonging to districts like Chengalpet, Villupuram, Mayiladuthurai,. Cuddalore, Nagapattinam, Thanjavur, Thiruvarur, Pudukkottai and Ramanathapuram plus in the Puducherry, Karaikal etc there would be heavy rains. In the next 2 to 3 days, TN, Puducherry, Karaikal and Kerala would receive moderate rains with thundershowers and would be followed by moderate rains and thundershowers.
On 10th and 11 th November, there would be heavy rains in TN, Puducherry and Karaikal. It is revealed by RMC that there would be chances of heavy rains with lightning and thunder till 11th of November. The RMC has made it clear that in another 3 hours districts like Tiruvallur, Chengalpet, Kanchipuram and Chennai would receive light to moderate rains along with lightning and thunder.
