Now, there is no rain in Chennai and this weekend there would be rains in the city and in the delta districts in Tamil Nadu. This was as per the RMC in Chennai. It must be noted that a yellow alert has been issued for 7 districts by RMC. There will be heavy rainfall this coming Saturday.
It is noteworthy that for Sunday, an Orange alert (heavy to very heavy rains) has been issued to 3 districts and yellow alert to 6 districts in TN. On Saturday, heavy rains would occur in districts like Chengalpet, Villupuram, Cuddalore, Mayiladuthurai, Nagapattinam, Thiruvarur and Thanjavur etc.
On Sunday, the isolated places belonging to Kancheepuram, Chengalpet and Villupuram districts would receive heavy to very heavy rains.
The formation of fresh low pressure area or LPA over the south-east Bay of Bengal and adjoining north Andaman Sea. Point is that this LPA would move west-northwest wards and concentrate into depression over central parts of the south Bay of Bengal around 19th November. The sky would be partly cloudy in Chennai for the next 2 days and there would be light to moderate rains in some places in the city. In the early morning, there would be mist or fog also.
