Say goodbye to your constipation problem during the winter season with these foods!!

Constipation is an important issue any time of the year more so in the winter season. A person must know the frequency, colour and consistency of his or her poop as it would indicate the health of that person. Truth is that when a person`s passes stools for less than thrice a week then the person is said to have this constipation issue. The research studies have mentioned that across the world 10percent to 20 percent of the adults have this constipation issue at some point in their lives.

The connection between constipation and winter:
Many of us would not drink enough water especially in the cold winter season. This could lead to digestive based issues and constipation etc. there are many underlying health issues possible if constipation doesn`t get treated. In the winter season, we must consume fibre based foods like whole grains and seasonal fruits such as orange, guava, grapefruit etc. intake of oats would be superb in the cold season. These foods would prevent the constipation problem in us. It is noteworthy that by eating fibre rich foods the stools would become bulkier and easy to pass. The colon is supposed to eliminate the toxic wastes from the body and if it doesn`t do that then we would be prone to many health issues.

Eating these foods in the winters would avid constipation issues.

Intake of psyllium husk:
Isabgol or psyllium husk is a dietary fibre that would lead to weight loss. It also plays an important role as a laxative. It is believed that taking water with 2 or 3 teaspoons of psyllium husk in the winters could solve the constipation issue in us effectively.

Intake of castor oil:
The presence of ricinoleic acid in the castor oil would help in the easy removal of waste. This is due to the laxative property of castor oil. In the winter season it would be good to consume a teaspoon of castor oil before sleeping. Th intake of castor oil must be avoided by pregnant women.

Intake of Ajwain seeds:
The gastric juice would be produced in the stomach by the intake of these seeds and by this digestion would be superb and foods would be broken down in the stomach.

Intake of virgin coconut oil:
The bowel movements would be stimulated during winters when we consume virgin coconut oil and this could be due to the fact that virgin coconut oil contains medium chain fatty acids or MCFA.

Intake of triphala powder:
It is true that excess vata, pitta and kappa etc would be eliminated and there would be balance in the body. The colon is us and would be cleansed the next morning when we drink triphala powder in water before sleeping.
