Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has informed us that there are prospects for heavy rains in South Tamil Nadu on the 20th & 21st of December!
A low-pressure format has been prevailing in the upper layers of the atmosphere over the southeast Bay of Bengal and its adjacent areas! This low-pressure zone is likely to drift towards the South Bay of Bengal section in the next 48 hours. As such, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has notified that there are prospects for heavy rains in the southern districts of Tamil Nadu State!
It is further informed that there are prospects for mild to medium widespread rain in the Tamil Nadu Coastal Districts and 1 or 2 places in the interior Tamil Nadu districts.
The Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre has informed us that there are prospects for heavy rains in 1 0or 2 places in Ramanathapuram, Pudhukkottai, Sivagangai, Thanjavur, Thiruvallur, Nagappattinam, Mayiladuthurai, Cuddalore districts and Karaikkal.
